Specifications:- 1. Heater: Nichrome heater wound on mica former and insulation with control unit capacity 300 watt maximum.
2. Heater Control Unit: 0-230V. Ammeter 0-2Amps. Single phase dimmerstat (1No.).
3. Temperature Indicator (digital type): 0-200oC. Service required – A. C. single phase 230 V. earthed electric supply


 

Equipment: Thermal conductivity of insulating powder

To determine total thermal conductivity of insulating powder

Specifications:-
1. Heater: Nichrome heater wound on mica former and insulation with control unit capacity 300 watt maximum.
2. Heater Control Unit : 0-230V. Ammeter 0-2Amps. Single phase dimmerstat (1No.).
3. Temperature Indicator (digital type): 0-200oC. Service required – A. C. single phase 230 V. earthed electric supply.
4. Radius of the inner copper sphere, ri = 50mm
5. Radius of the outer copper sphere, ro = 100mm
6. dimmerstat 0 – 2A, 0 – 230 V. Insulating Powder – Asbestos magnesia commercially available powder and packed between the two spheres.


 

Equipment: Heat transfer from PIN-FIN apparatus

To determine heat transfer coefficient in natural and forced convection for Pin Fin.

To determine emissivity of non black plate.

3. Temperature Indicator (digital type): 0-200oC. Service required – A. C. single phase 230 V. earthed electric supply.
4. Test plate Dia=165 mm, Black plate Dia=165 mm,
5. Enclosure size = 580mm x 300mm x 300mm wooden.
