Program Details

Marathi Language Day (Marathi Din, Marathi Diwas : मराठी दिन, मराठी दिवस) is celebrated on February 27 every year across the Indian state of Maharashtra & Goa. This day is regulated by the State Government. It is celebrated on Birthday of eminent Marathi Poet V. V. Shirwadkar.

The program was organized for students and all teaching and non-teaching faculty of all departments with intent to remind them the importance of our state language and its history. The student coordinator Mr. Sagar Patil (student, T.E. Computer) hosted the program with a wonderful presentation. Mr. Pankaj Bondre (student, B.E. Computer) took the event ahead with a famous Poem ‘KANA’ in the remembrance of great Poet V. V. Shirwadkar.

Ms. Arti Mohanpurkar, Head, Department of Computer Engineering addressed the audience with her inspiring Marathi articles written by her. Dr. Anup Vibhute, Dean Academics, DYPSOET made youth realize the flexibility and versatility of Marathi Language. The program coordinator Ms. Arti Waghmare gave a poetic touch to her address to maintain the decency of language with pure words. Ms. Sadhana Gawade from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering shared excellent quotes to brief importance of the day and its cause of celebration. Mr. Viresh Chapte Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Engineering presented a lovely song in his melodious voice and graced the occasion.
